Personal
Carey was born and grew up in in Piitsburgh Pennsylvania. He graduated from Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio with a BA in Psychology in 1975. He is a member of Lamda Chi Alpha fraternity.
He moved to Florida in 1977,where he met his wife Lori. Thet have two daughters, Allison and Kathie.
Carey is an avid scuba diver and former instructor. He spends mucht of his free time on local Florida reefs . He enjoys both underwater still and video photography.
Lori and Carey are members of First Presbyterian Church in North Palm Beach.
